Note: The title is pronounced more like cheat-a-gat-zee although, from now until September 2023, I pronounced it sit-a-gar-zee.

Note: This day might be a few days out. I just lumped it near Christmas 2003.

I thought the second book of ‘His Dark Materials’, ‘The Subtle Knife’, was the best of the trilogy, because of the sudden change of genre - the first book is a sort of mild fantasy drama story and the second book is suddenly a sci-fi interdimensional story. Sometimes I changed the music to different tracks depending on which world the characters were in. I have since forgotten which music tracks I used for all the worlds except Cittàgazze (the most high-tech of the worlds), which was definitely ‘Stealth Frag’ (Sonic Mayhem).

Also the CD from ‘The Christmas Album: A Tribute To Phil Spector’ was on repeatedly most of these days (see yesterday's entry for more on that).

It's very possible that the theme I chose for the world from the first book, ‘Northern Lights’, was one of those Christmas tracks. As of 20 years later when I revisited this, after some investigation, I think the most likely candidate for the one I chose for the world in ‘Northern Lights’ is ‘Here Comes Santa’, because I had added that to the December 2003 playlist at some point and then later forgot why (other than that it was to do with the Christmas CD), so it's a funny coincidence and maybe a clue.
