This was the driest month of my life (for me personally, so far). There was no known rain for the entire month, and pretty much all of the exposed grass died, so Britain looked like a desert from space.
Interestingly, in the past five years, the UK as a whole has had two months with less rainfall than June 2018. That being September 2014 (probably the record holder of driest known month ever in Britain) and April 2017, which I don't remember particularly standing out for any reason.
