September 2016
This month may have been pretty mediocre on average, but it does contain the most legendary day of the year, as well as the best day and worst day of the last four months of 2016 (a.k.a. late 2016). For some reason, I did ratings this month when I generally didn't do ratings in the surrounding months (those were only rated several years later in retrospect).
As well as this, the music theme playlist of September 2016 is the undisputed best of all the monthly playlists, and this is very unlikely to be beaten (the only chance I see is if some entire new genre of music comes out that is better than anything in the past, which I think is extremely unlikely).
